The award-winning Bentley Pines Training Restaurant at South Metropolitan TAFE is a live, interactive training environment for our students preparing for work in the hospitality industry.
Hospitality and cookery students serve and prepare food in the restaurant and showcase their skills in planning a menu, budgeting, making purchases, and preparing and serving food and drinks to members of the public. Events students provide menu presentation and advertising when special events or exhibitions are staged at the venue.

Currently, only online bookings are available for 2021 and reservations are subject to change depending on student enrolments.

Menus are designed to suit incremental learning and change as the students progress through their course.
Be sure to check the opening times and menus that apply to your chosen date of visit, from the Menus tab before booking online.
Our restaurants can accommodate dietary requirement variations to our menus and it is recommended any special requests be advised on booking, rather than on arrival to the restaurant, to enable forward planning by students on the day.
For reservations of ten or more guests we require a deposit of $10 per person. This needs to be paid within two weeks of making your reservation in order to secure your booking. Cancellations must be made at least two days in advance for individual bookings and ten days in advance for group (ten people or more) bookings. Please note that no refunds on deposits can be made for cancellations outside of this time frame.
Restaurant - reservations essential
Lunch: Monday to Friday, arrive at 11.30am for pre-meal drinks and no later than 12 noon for dining.
Dinner: Monday to Friday, arrive at 6.30pm for pre-meal drinks and no later than 7pm for dining.
All the restaurant's food and beverage facilities operate outside of peak industry operating times (weekends) so that students are available to work and contribute in the workplace during these hours.
It is necessary for customers to vacate the restaurant as soon as possible after 2pm for lunch and 9pm for dinner, enabling lecturers to discuss the session with the students and to them to attend further classes and meet transport arrangements.
Bistro - Walk-ins only, no reservations required
Lunch: Tuesday to Friday 11.30am to 1.30pm
Coffee: 10am to 2pm
We are pleased to accept MasterCard and Visa card (minimum charge $10.00)
EFTPOS is available, but there are no cash-out facilities.
Cheque payments with prior approval are payable to South Metropolitan TAFE, 1 Fleet Street, Fremantle.
Our menus are designed to suit the course content students cover during their hospitality studies.
Please ask for our after dinner and beverage menus when you arrive at our restaurant.
Our restaurant is fully licensed.

Parking for buses is available at car park adjacent to restaurant. Other vehicles can use the Council-owned parking available by taking the left turn after the sentry gate at our campus main entry from Hayman Road. Please note: South Metropolitan TAFE cannot take responsibility for Council-owned parking facilities.
We welcome guests requiring wheelchair access. ACROD parking is available in the car park adjacent to restaurant. Please display your permit in your vehicle.
