If you enjoy accounting and mathematics, have an analytical mind and would like to work in the accounting profession, then our Advanced Diploma of Accounting is for you. Accountants support their clients with regular monitoring, analysis, preparation of documents, reports and accounts, and advice.

Our course is developed under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), in close consultation with and accredited by the Accounting industry’s professional bodies and has an excellent reputation for quality. You will be well on your way to a role as a registered tax agent or assistant accountant – the ideal start to an exciting accountancy career or an alternate pathway to the Bachelor of Accounting for students who have not completed secondary schooling in Australia.

School leavers or those with limited work experience who are interested in project management may wish to consider the Certificate IV in Project Management Practice.
 

Part-time course commencing Semester 1, 2021 - important information

This course will be run on Saturdays, with required attendance at a workshop one Saturday per month from February to November at Thornlie campus. This is an intensive workshop delivery mode for participants with current relevant workplace experience.

When you complete the Certificate IV in Project Management Practice you will be looking at a career in a growth area, as a contract officer, project administrator, quality officer or risk management professional.

You will gain the career enhancing knowledge and skills to plan and manage projects from start to finish, applying scope management, time management, quality management, cost management, risk management, and information and communication techniques.

You will acquire valuable experience in making presentations to groups, and working in effective teams.

Full-time attendance is equivalent to two days a week.

Completion of the Certificate IV in Project Management Practice opens up a range of further study options, including specialist business diplomas, and it may assist in entry to university.

It is suggested that students have an appropriate work history in order to relate to the course content.
