You can connect your mobile device to the South Metropolitan TAFE staff wifi. Open your device and connect to the 'PWAStaff' network and enter your PC username and password.

Accessing work systems from home
Did you know you can access your work files from home? South Metropolitan TAFE uses VMWare View to allow staff access to our systems and files.
To gain access, complete the Application for Remote Access Accounts form. You'll need permission from your manager before you can submit it to ICT. They will provide you with instructions on how to set up remote access.
The Default View Connection Server is vmv.polytechnic.wa.edu.au.
Access your work email on the run. Now includes your Lync instant messaging contact list for easy collaboration.
VMware Horizon View Portal
The VMware Horizon View Portal allows you to remotely access a virtual desktop and common applications.
Staff Single Sign On
The Staff Single Sign On (SSO) Portal allows you to access Institute web-based systems that use your 03xxxxxx login directly (without loading a VMware View desktop) such as:
- Webmail (Outlook Web Access)
- Manage My Account (Quest Self Service)
- Reset Student Password
- College Catch-up
- Lecturer Portal
- VMware Workspace - Access your virtual desktop and apps
You can also set your password if you have never logged in before. Furthermore, if you have an expired password, the SSO portal will ask you to change it.
