Success for Aeroskills Pre-Apprentices!

SM TAFE students are the first WA apprentices to be employed by Alliance Airlines Authorised Maintenance Organisation

Congratulations to SM TAFE students Aidan Combs, Joshua Laruccia, Ryan Southgate and Alexander Pak who are the first WA apprentices to be employed by Alliance Airlines Authorised Maintenance Organisation, based at Perth airport. All four students have recently graduated from our Certificate II in Aeroskills (Aeroskills Mechanical Pre-apprenticeship) (MEA20418) Opens in a new window program and have credited their success to the high standard of training they received during their studies at SM TAFE.

Alliance Airlines is the leading Fly in Fly out (FIFO) air charter operator in Australia and offers comprehensive and integrated maintenance support services for Fokker specific aircraft with services based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Essendon, Perth and Townsville.

The apprentices and SM TAFE Aeroskills staff, met with Troy Scott, Training Manager for Alliance Airlines, to discuss the various aspects of the training they will be undertaking. The apprentices expressed their gratitude to the staff of the SM TAFE Aerospace Training Centre for the high standard of learning they received during their pre-apprenticeship program, which enabled them to successfully pursue their chosen career path.
