Archive’ film celebrates 50 years of fashion success

South Metropolitan TAFE’s (SM TAFE) 2020 graduating fashion students recognised 50 years of SM TAFE's fashion training with a 40-minute curated fashion film.

The Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising (MST60119) students’ showcased their final designs in November based on the concept of Archive’,  a tribute to heritage at a time of great industry transformation.

The 40-minute curated fashion film Archive’, is reflective of changing times and a global shift. It features each student’s designs as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the development and inspiration behind their creative process. 

SM TAFE portfolio manager Andrea Quintal said she was proud of the fashion students achievements, as well as the longevity and reputation of fashion training at Bentley.

“Bentley campus has been Perth’s leading fashion design institution for 50 years and during that time we have built a reputation as an industry leader and have been able to attract expert lecturers and talented designers," Ms Quintal said.

SM TAFE offers a Certificate lV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising, and a new MST50119 Diploma of Business and Merchandising.
