In one semester you can gain a Certificate III in Fitness, and work in the fitness industry straight away. The Certificate III teaches you the skills and knowledge required to be a gym instructor and group exercise instructor.
You will be able to assess fitness levels, design effective training programs, and deliver fun, high-energy, group exercise sessions. You will also learn about anatomy, healthy eating, and how to work with older adults and children.

The Certificate IV in Fitness gives you the skills and knowledge you need to be a qualified personal trainer.
You will learn how to run your own business, work with teens, and conduct group and outdoor personal training. You will also learn how to apply the skills of functional anatomy and strength and conditioning techniques to your training programs.
Many of our graduates go on to have successful fitness careers, working as trainers in gyms, outdoors, or even owning their own studio.

Want a hands-on career?
Remedial massage therapists are in demand thanks to an increased trend for multi-disciplinary health care.
Our Diploma of Remedial Massage students learn from industry experts who are passionate about the body, healing and awakening students’ interest in the musculoskeletal system and treatment options to improve clients’ health and wellbeing.
You will train in a student massage clinic to meet the 200 hours of clinical supervised practice, which is located in the Murdoch health precinct next to Fiona Stanley and St John of God Hospitals.
You will learn several different types of massage including:
- deep tissue
- trigger point
- manual lymph drainage
- pre and post-natal pregnancy massage
- specialised treatments for people with chronic health disease.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in elite sporting events such as HBF Fun Run to apply sports massage treatments. Once you graduate you can work with clients presenting with soft tissue dysfunction, musculoskeletal imbalance or restrictions in range of motion. You will also learn specialised pregnancy massage so you can perform safe and accredited pre and post-natal massage.
On completion you will be eligible to apply for all private health care provider numbers (including Medibank) through nationally accredited massage associations.

This qualification is directly aligned with priority industry areas where the jobs are today, and into the future. As part of the state government Lower fees, local skills initiative, from 1 July 2020 through to 31 December 2021 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 (plus resource fee) if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession. Do you want to lead in the sports industry?
When you complete the Certificate IV in Sport Development you will have the practical skills and knowledge to coordinate and coach a wide range of sports.
Through the course of your studies you will gain the skills and knowledge to plan and deliver sport and recreation programs. This could include events management, managing volunteers, creating programs and planning coaching sessions for junior sports.

As part of this qualification you will undertake a supervised work placement where you will apply the skills and knowledge you have learned.
