Engineer your future! South Metropolitan TAFE offers a wide range of engineering qualifications across the areas of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Technical engineering. Our qualifications range from entry-level apprenticeships and traineeships, through to diplomas and advanced diplomas that can prepare you for university study. You will learn in up-to-date, specialised facilities with advanced technologies and equipment to ensure that you graduate with job-ready skills.

You will learn advanced technical skills, as well as working on hands-on projects to prepare you for work in a diverse range of areas. You will gain extensive skills in areas such as mechanical engineering research, mechanical design, computing technology, manufacturing operations, drafting, CAD/CAM, PLC programming, tuning of multi-loop cascade controls, and hydraulic and pneumatic processes.
