The course runs for 5 consecutive days and contains theoretical and practical components and assessments. Over the five days students will cover the required Australian Standards and Clean Energy Council Guidelines for accredited Installers and Designers.
The course consists of three units:
- UEENEEK125A Solve basic problems in photovoltaic energy apparatus and systems
- UEENEEK135A Design grid connected photovoltaic power supply systems
- UEENEEK148A Install, configure and commission LV grid connected photovoltaic power systems
On successful completion of units K125A and K135A a student may register as a Clean Energy Council accredited Grid Connect Designer.
On successful completion of K125 and K148 a student may register as a Clean Energy Council accredited Installer.
A student who completes all three units successfully may apply for accreditation as an accredited CEC Installer and Designer.
Prospective students must have a WA Electrical licence to complete all three units. If you have an electrical engineering background and no EW licence you will be only eligible to complete the two design units.
