Explore your creative side with a step into a floristry career pathway
You will learn the skills and techniques use in creating floral arrangements/designs using different vases/vessels. This course is one of a series of skill sets designed to be a pathway to a rewarding floristry career.
Course dates:
- Fridays, 8am – 1pm from 5 February to 11 June 2021
Attendance in class
This is a full-time course. You will need to attend approximately 110 hours of class, over 1 day a week, for 20 weeks.
At-home study
As well as the in-class component, you may be required to complete additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research.
You will need to have the basic technical requirements for at-home study. If you don’t have access to a computer and WiFi at home, we recommend using our library computers during library hours.
What you need for your first day of class
On your first day you should bring your SM TAFE confirmation enrolment receipt, your student ID, stationery (a pen and notepad and wear enclosed footwear and equipment from orientation booklet lists).
Uniforms and workwear requirements: No uniform required. Students are required to purchase flowers for 70 to 80 dollars per week.
