In these unprecedented times, new regulations need workers to manage infection control while in the direct care of others.
There is increased opportunity for new workers to pick up skills in direct care and progress to an entry level role.

Requirements of the course
This course includes both online study and on-campus assessment.
Once enrolled, you will receive information about how to login to our eCampus and you will need to complete a literacy and numeracy quiz to show you can study the course online. Your study will involve accessing content online for 3 study modules, followed by a series of online quiz assessments to test your knowledge.

When you finish your online study, there is one day a week attendance for the duration of the course at campus for the remaining modules, plus a compulsory requirement to attend a practical demonstration and assessment session.

 This course can help you get ready for your first job, or re-skill quickly for jobs that are available as WA's economy recovers. This course is absolutely free for anyone to study. Find out more.Â
If you're aged 15—24 years (not at school), receiving the JobSeeker or JobKeeper payment, receiving Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY or holding a pensioner concession card, Health Care Card or a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, or a dependent of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution, you are eligible to enrol for free!

Please note The minimum age requirement for the Entry Into Care Roles and the COVID-19 Direct Care skill sets is 18 years. For the other infection control skill sets, students must be 15 years of age or older.
Some of the courses on the list can be done completely online. However some of the courses require a practical component which can't be done online, or some may be a mix of online and face-to-face learning. We’ll let you know what's required for your course.
