CUA51015 Diploma of Screen and Media

National ID: CUA51015 | State ID: AZL8

Are you looking to advance your digital media skills and stand out in this exciting and rewarding industry?

When you complete the Diploma of Screen and Media you will have what it takes for a career as an instructional designer, animation/visual effects specialist, or interactive media developer.

You will gain the knowledge and skills to plan, carry out and evaluate digital media industry work, from a specialist, technical, or managerial space. You will develop digital publications, interactive documents, e-learning resources, animations and visual effects, and videos.

You will acquire valuable experience in making presentations to groups, managing effective teams, and interpreting design briefs.

It is expected that students entering diploma level studies have the knowledge and/or experience equivalent to that gained in completing a relevant certificate IV course.

Fast Track: Students who meet the entrance requirements for the Diploma, but who may need to build lower level skills, may complete the Certificate IV foundation skill set. This skill set consists of only the essential units from the Certificate IV, done over one term, which then leads into a three term Diploma. Ask us about this exciting option.

The Centre for IT Excellence (CITE) provides state of the art, industry relevant training in information technology, creative media and electronics. We provide pathways from foundation studies to advanced diploma with specialist training in cyber security, systems and programming.

SM TAFE actively promotes the employment availability of course graduates to key industry partners and organisations. We also seek expressions of interest from organisations for the placement of our students into work experience. We endeavour to assist students into a career pathway, but please be aware that neither employment nor work experience placement is guaranteed by us.
