Learn how to operate CNC machinery
The CNC Operations skill set is for qualified/experienced tradespersons employed in an engineering production or manufacturing environment.
This course has been developed specifically, to suit the role of first-class machinists looking to upskill from manual machining and into Computerised Numerical Control (CNC) Machining and Operations.
You will learn how to Program, Set and Operate CNC machinery allowing you to perform machine operations faster and with high accuracy using the latest CNC equipment.
This skill set will provide existing workers with specialist skills in programming, setting, and operating of CNC machinery that covers a broad range of industries.
Dates
- Groups begin monthly when there is demand
- practical skills and knowledge to analyse, inspect components, edit CNC programs
- apply workplace health and safety
- perform engineering measurements
- operate and monitor CNC machines and processes.
If you're aged 15—24 years (not at school), receiving the JobSeeker payment, receiving Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY or holding a pensioner concession card, Health Care Card or a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, or a dependent of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution, you are eligible to enrol for free!

You must be a qualified tradesperson in engineering or manufacturing, looking to upskill into defence manufacturing.
