When you complete the Certificate IV in Human Resources you are setting yourself up for a career in building productive businesses with the most capable staff; as a human resource officer, recruitment assistant or in human resources development.

Full-time attendance is equivalent to two and a half days a week.
Completion of the Certificate IV in Human Resources opens up a range of further study options, including specialist business diplomas, and it may assist in entry to university.
This qualification is directly aligned with priority industry areas where the jobs are today, and into the future. As part of the state government Lower fees, local skills initiative, from 1 July 2020 through to 31 December 2021 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 (plus resource fee) if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession. Attendance in class
This course is equivalent to 3 days per week when studied full time across one semester.
As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 10-15 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, assignment preparation, and research.
Work placement is not a requirement for this course.
What you need for your first day of class
On your first day you should bring your SM TAFE confirmation enrolment receipt, your student ID, stationery (pen, exercise book, file and a USB storage device).
Your lecturers will advise you at orientation of any additional resource requirements such as textbooks and software applications, as well as providing information on how to access or purchase student copies/licences.
Dress requirements - smart casual dress at all times.
