This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Some eligibility conditions apply for the low fee training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs for more information.

How Apprenticeship

This course will cover theoretical and practical aspects of machining of engineering components. Learn to machine, modify and gain skills in the maintenance of plant and equipment, machinery and power stations. Our lecturers will help you develop the ability to work effectively and safely using specialist tools and equipment.

Gain these skills:

  • machining, assembly and manufacturing
  • CNC, precision grinding, horizontal boring and precision measurement
  • installation and modification of machinery
  • testing and fault finding of machinery
  • maintenance and service of equipment, machinery and tools
