When you complete the Certificate II in Engineering (Mechanical Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Pre-Apprenticeship) you'll greatly improve your chance of getting a refrigeration and air conditioning apprenticeship.

You will gain skills and knowledge equivalent to the first stage of the refrigeration and air conditioning apprenticeship, using relevant tools, measuring, technical drawing, electrical wiring, and workplace health and safety.

South Metropolitan TAFE's refrigeration and air conditioning facility is Western Australia's premier centre for refrigeration, air conditioning, and associated studies. The purpose-built facility is among the best in the southern hemisphere.
