Join the ranks of cyber professionals, get ready for a ‘job of the future’

Malicious cyber activity is growing worldwide, driving a dramatic increase in demand for cyber security solutions. Over the next decade the Australian cyber security industry is forecast to almost triple in size. This growth translates into an additional 11,000 jobs.

Specialist facilities at Murdoch campus

Our state-of-the-art Training Cyber Security Operations Centre (TCSOC) is now officially open. This new facility provides a secure training environment designed to simulate realistic cyber-attacks relating to attack, defence and monitoring. The TCSOC provides a multi-campus centre based in Murdoch with ‘nodes’ at Thornlie and Rockingham campuses in order for all IT students to experience this leading edge training.

The Murdoch campus is centrally located to the Murdoch health and knowledge precinct, making it the ideal location for cyber security training. South Metropolitan TAFE has networks with industry associations such as the Australian Computer Society, Australian Information Security Association and Health Informatics Society of Australia, ensuring our students have access to industry expertise and networking opportunities.

Specialist job outcomes for those in industry or with similar qualifications
