Our popular courses are known as ‘competitive’. This means that more applications are received every semester than we have places for.
After you've applied for a 'competitive' course from the course page, our admission team will rank applications to make sure the most competitive candidates receive offers for places first.
You will be contacted to provide supporting materials, such as:
- written references,
- previous study evidence,
- evidence of employment,
- volunteering or work experience
So, it's really important that you have this information ready before the application period closes (see our Key Dates).
It’s also a good idea to have a backup plan in case your course is too popular – you may choose to apply for other courses along the study pathway as this will improve your chances of being offered a place to start your study.
How to know if a course is competitive
Competitive courses will have an indication on the course page near the Apply now button.
