The Welding Introduction course is for candidates who have never welded before and provides an opportunity for candidates to try a range of welding processes over a five week course.

In this introduction to welding course you will have access to gas metal and arc welding (GMAW), manual metal arc welding (MMAW) and oxy welding in a fully equipped workshop.

This course will provide you with practical skills that will allow you to complete basic welding and gas cutting tasks, including training in the safe use of a variety of welding processes and workshop procedures.

This course is not formally assessed. A certificate of participation will be provided on completion.

No previous experience required.

You’re welcome to bring your own projects, and discuss their suitability with the lecturer.

You are required to wear personal protective clothing at all times which includes steel capped safety boots, clear safety glasses, long pants and cotton drill shirt.
