Full Electrical Contractors Course

The full electrical contractors’ course includes nominee and business components. To be eligible you must hold a current electrical workers licence, restricted licence is not acceptable.

  • Nominee component includes five days face to face
  • Business component includes six months online learning plus one day of assessment

Business and Nominee contractors’ courses can be completed separately.

Course content

Electrical Contractors Licence course consists of four mandatory units.

Electrical Contractors Nominees / In-house Licence course consists of two mandatory units.

Electrical Contractors Business Licence course consists of two mandatory units.

Course materials required

Students are required to obtain the following materials prior to course commencement.

From South Metropolitan TAFE:
AS/NZS 3000:2007 and all amendments
AS/NZS 3008.1.1:2009
AS/NZS 3760:2010
AS/NZS 3017:2007

From State Law Publisher

8.30am to 4.30pm
Electrical (Licencing) Regulations 1991 and all amendments
Electricity Regulations 194 7
