Digital manufacturing is the use of an integrated, computer-based system comprised of simulation, three-dimensional (3D) visualization, analytics and various collaboration tools to create products and manufacturing applications.

Learn how to setup and operate digital fabrication machines such as: 3D printers, CNC routers, Laser and Vinyl Cutters as well as some hand tools to create physical 2D & 3D items from a range of sources using materials such as paper, wood and plastics.

It is highly recommended that participants have some 2D and 3D CAD skills prior to taking on this short course if they wish to produce their own individual designs. This can be completed through the Applied Engineering Drawing & CAD Skillset course offered by SMTAFE
