Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations

This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to lead and supervise operations involved in the extraction of materials in an open cut mining operation. You will learn skills in mine management, safety coordination, and supervision. You will also develop skills to lead, guide and organize work teams, and contribute to technical solutions.

The preferred pathway into this qualification is formal supervision of at least one year in the open pit area. You must have a good understanding of the English language as course material is only available in English. The most significant assessment tool we use is our on-site practical demonstration.
