When you complete the Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Vehicle Body Painting Pre-Apprenticeship) you'll have what employers are looking for in an apprentice auto body repairer/painter.

You will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the automotive industry, preparing vehicle panels for painting, removing and repairing panels, environmental regulations, and workplace safety and health.

South Metropolitan TAFE is the only TAFE in WA offering this qualification.

South Metropolitan TAFE's Carlisle Campus is WA's major centre for automotive and panel beating studies. Automotive apprentices and pre-apprentices enjoy state of the art facilities, including new vehicles, specialised repair and diagnostic equipment, fully equipped spray painting ovens, specialised workrooms and workshops. This excellent training program is highly competitive.
