Maritime (Fremantle)

Our Maritime Training Centre and the Australian Centre for Applied Aquaculture Research (ACAAR), is ideally located in the heart of Fremantle’s shipping precinct on the edge of Victoria Quay, and offers a wide array of qualifications, specialty short courses, simulator-based training and customised programs in the Maritime Operations & Engineering and the Marine Studies & Aquaculture program areas for the Maritime and Oil & Gas sectors.

Our highly experienced lecturers and staff provide world-class professional training using exclusive facilities and equipment and some of the most comprehensive training facilities in the country, that include modern multi-functional labs, a fleet of training vessels, a maritime simulation centre for ship bridge, engine room and oil-chemical-gas cargo handling, aquaculture hatchery and ROV and marine workshops.

Our maritime operations and engineering courses are internationally recognised and industry-approved as meeting the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and the Western Australian Department of Transport.
